Voiceovers

The Muons recorded the first part of their soundtrack and voiceovers for their marionette performance using a multitrack recorder. They selected an ambient sound effect of “deep space”, then rehearsed and recorded the dialogue between the main characters in the first two scenes. Rehearsal

The Muons rehearsed a simple marionette performance in conjunction with their stage backdrops and recorded music. They also worked out the logistics involved in bringing characters on and off stage without tangling them up, and practiced projecting their voices to the back of the theater room.

The Muons worked on a couple of backdrops for their puppet theater production, featuring the planet Mars and the interior of a UFO!

Screen Plays

Making Marionettes

The Muons made some adjustments to their marionettes, added working bendable limbs, and took their work home to add the final touches. We spent the last half of the class practicing narration, lighting, music, puppeteering, and story development which included the use of a protagonist, antagonist, action, conflict and a resolution.

Food Chains

Last week we continued learning about food chains, but with an art twist. Using cut paper and some imagination, the electrons created stylized art food chain posters.
