Naturalist Report: Deer Poop

First Name: Mayana
Age: 7
Specimen or Artifact Name: Deer poop
Where did you find it?: Peterson Park Woods
Write a paragraph about your item. Some ideas of information to include are: Is it old or new? What species is it from or what is its classification? Why is it important? What is its role in nature?: Poop’s role in nature is to be fertilizer for plants. Poop comes from every animal. Animals poop because they eat. Poop is the remains of what they eat. The deer poop we found was brown and looked like brown blueberries.
What makes it interesting to you? Why did you choose this item?: I actually thought it was blueberries on the ground at first, but it was definitely not blueberries.
