List all of the main characters in the book, and share a little bit of information about each character.: Kit Tyler, Mercy Wood, Judith Wood, Hannah Tupper, Prudence Cruff.Kit moved from Barbados to Connecticut. Here at Connecticut the culture is VERY different.
Mercy is Kit’s cousin and friend.
Judith is also Kit’s cousin and likes to brag.
Hannah lives in a tiny hut near Blackbird Pond. People say that she is a witch, but she is not. She is also a Quaker. She becomes Kit’s friend.
Prudence is a little girl who is not allowed to go to the dame school. Her mom is very mean, but her dad is nicer. She becomes Kit and Hannah’s friend. She secretly learns to read and write at Hannah’s house.

Otherwise, write three sentences about your favorite part of the book.: My favorite part was the actual trial, when the townspeople were trying to prove Kit was a witch. The trial was my favorite part because it was exciting and suspenseful.
