This past week in art/studio class the Neutrons made Luminaries out of recycled Yogurt jars. They had a blast being creative with their creations and many of them used fall or Halloween colors. To make they each painted the outside jar with Mod Podge. After putting a good coat on the outside they then applied different colors of tissue paper in different forms on the outside. Once complete they put a final thick coat of mod podge on the outside and let set for a few hours. Each of the children were given led delights to light them from the inside. There were many creative luminaries made and I foresee some of these being sold during our first market day!
