After reading the book Tough Guys (Have Feelings Too) by Keith Negley, the quarks discussed what a superhero is and how it’s normal to get upset and even cry at times (everyone does). This discussion catapulted us into the start of creating superhero masks out of paper mache. The quarks worked together to take turns to mix paper mache glue out of flour and water. Then, they dipped strips of paper into the solution and wrapped their own balloon armatures to make a ‘face’. Next art class we will be painting our masks to give our superheros personality and character.
