The Pullman family lives in a town house in present day Upper Manhattan in New York City.

List all of the main characters in the book, and share a little bit of information about each character.:

August Pullman is a main character. His family like to call him Auggie.

Auggie was born a facial deformity which made him not be able to go to a mainstream school until now. Now Auggie goes to a private school named Beecher Prep. Olivia Pullman was Auggies sister they called her Via for short. All her life she was very protective of Auggie she always had his back. Jack Will is augusts best friend. At first he was forced to be auggies friend but then jack started to like auggie and they became friends. Julian hates august. He is also rich and a kid who acts one way in front of adult but is mean when there not looking. Summer Dawson is also Auggies best friend she and Auggie made a table for kids with birthdays in the summer. Miranda is Via’s former best friend but soon they both change in ways that make then not friends and more but Miranda will still always be like a sister to auggie. The last main character is Mr.Tushman. Mr.Tushman is principal at school.

August just wants to be a normal kid but no one treats him that way. he really wants to be able to walk in school and feel normal have people talk to him come hang out with him.

August showed people that even though he may not look the same as them he is not a freak and he is a just a normal kid.

It made me feel sad because i felt bad that just because he looked different no one wanted to hang out with him and most people were mean to him.
