Last week, we discussed the surrealist art movement of the 1920’s and the transition from art based on reality to art from an artist’s imagination. We tested out the new digital projector and looked at art from Dali, Miro, Magritte, and Man Ray.
We then looked at the Exqisite Corpse artwork that came from collaboration of artists during this art movement. The kids were excited to then create their own exquisite corpse drawings, each drawing a head, passing it to another, drawing a body, then passing again and drawing the feet.
This week, we again created exquisite corpse drawings, this time extending the drawing time and adding color to the drawings.
