The Quarks continued work on their art books. They finished up a birch tree water color from the week before. They also created an envelope/book page for their paintings. The kids used water color pencils and ball point pens to decorate their envelope. Since we will be making mixed media self portraits,I brought in a book that was a favorite in our house that uses mixed media techniques.Look-Alikes books are filled with pages of photographs of scenes that are created with everyday objects.http://www.amazon.com/Look-Alikes-The-More-You-Look/dp/0316713481 This book was very popular with the Quarks. So popular that I had to promise to bring it back in order to get them to let me close it when class was over! Lucky for them the library has more and I put them on hold.
