Spy Adventures and Plot Points

This was our first session together. We began with a “warm up” writing activity by hearing about an historical event that happened October 15, 1917 relating to a spy during World War I. The activity encouraged the Electrons to write about a spy adventure they had or they were able to write down spy gear they would use or develop…very open ended.
Our next activity was exploring the idea of plot points…which is simply what happens in a story. After reading aloud a short excerpt from Mark Twain’s “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”, we determined the plot points as a group. They did a great job!!! We’ll continue on this theme next time.
