Workshop Topics

With Claudia and Liam out for the week, we missed out on an Italian lesson, so I jumped in with a pre- “Writing Workshop” session! I explained a bit about how Writing Workshop will be set up and organized once we start in January. We brainstormed a long list of possible writing topics individually, then shared with the group, which inspired some to add to their lists. Then we chose one of our topics and did a timed 5 minute free-writing to get ideas flowing. We shared our writing and snapped for each other “coffee house style” vs clapping. I am excited to work more with this great, creative bunch of kids after the holiday break!
