| The main character of this book series is Gregory Heffley. He is a middle schooler who dreams about being famous. His best friend is Rowley Jefferson. Rowley isn’t the sharpest crayon in the box. Manny, Greg’s younger brother, is an character in this story as well. |

| Great aunt Reba dies leaving Greg’s family inheritance. The family decides to do major home improvements and wants an addition to be built. Once the construction crew arrives and starts working problems arise. The neighbors complain about the noise, the wasps take over the hot tub, the mice and mold is discovered. The family pivots and decides to sell the house instead. But things go wrong AGAIN. |

| Greg’s family abandons the idea of the addition and also gives up on selling the house. They decide to fix the broken walls and stay in that house. Greg is happy as he gets to stay with Rowley and other neighborhood friends. |

| I was mostly in disbelief. It’s hard to imagine all these things go wrong one after another. |

| Yes. “Be happy with what you got” or “there is no place like home”. And I agree with both! |

| I’m giving it 10 stars because I really liked all the action. |
| What was your favorite/least favorite part? |
| I liked the part when Manny built his own little house. He used tools and material found on a construction site and built a small club house like structure. His first grade friends visited him there. I always wanted to build a tree house with my brother so I guess this part resonated with me the most. |

| I really recommend it to others as it is an easy and fun read. |
