As part of my art classes, I like to try to bring different materials for the kids to create with whenever I can. They always seem to like trying different mediums and it keeps the projects new and interesting for them.

This week we used all things foil – foil wrap, foil cardstock (so shiny!), shiny foil stickers, and more.  We also used stencils.  The suggestion was to create a Valentine’s Day card using those materials. I say “suggestion” because this creative group always has its own ideas! We did end up with many cards – including some that skipped the foil altogether – but also ended with some general, non-card creations. Some of the group made a single card or creation, others made several. But they all turned out great!
