They were going to New Orleans to transport goods like fruits and vegetables. The river water swampy and had a lot of big crocodiles and snapping turtles.
List all of the main characters in the book, and share a little bit of information about each character.:	Mike Fink – He was a good wrestler and good rifle shot. He was also the King of Keelboatmen.Jack Carpenter – A strong man that wrestles.

Otherwise, write three sentences about your favorite part of the book.:	My favorite part of the book was the fight between Mike Fink and Jack Carpenter. It was my favorite part because there was a lot of action and Jack headbutted Mike Fink in the stomach.

If there was not problem, write three sentences about what you would have liked to have seen in the book that the author did not include.:	I wish they included Mike Fink in a fight with the crocodile. I would have liked to see Mike Fink kill the crocodile.
