| The story starts out at Pigsticking Farm in Guttersbury. Then the two main characters travel around to a forest and a castle, with a princess, and the home of some nasty ogres. |

| Alfie Onion is the main character. He is very happy and loyal to his family. Magnifico is Alfie’s brother, he is supposed to be the hero, but really he is lazy and not the sharpest knife in the drawer. The other characters are Penelope and Norman the mice and Adaline the talking horse. |
| What is the conflict of the story? |
| Magnifico is supposed to be the hero, but Alfie Onion is doing all the work for his brother. They’re trying to save a princess in a castle with a spell that makes her sleep. The castle is surrounded by nasty, really nasty ogres! They have to trick the ogres with a potion that Belinda has made. Belinda is the daughter of the ogre that is trying to keep anyone away from the palace and she doesn’t get treated very nicely. |
| What was the conclusion of the book? |
| Alfie onion becomes the hero of the book, he wakes the princess and ends the special. They live happily ever after. Magnifico gets his gold but decides being a hero is not for him. He decides to live with Belinda, who bakes him cakes, cookies, and iced buns. |

| My emotions were mostly happy, nervous, and the teensiest tiny bit scared. |
