Yesterday was National Take a Hike Day, so we took full advantage and enjoyed a hike with each class.
Electrons and Neutrons hiked to the place we have a mutual understanding is named Nature’s Playground. You likely know the spot with the huge fallen tree the kids climb on. This is where the tire was discovered.
Thomas guided the Muons to the bridge and along a few paths, and managed to get us back almost in time for the next class. We saw several deer and a Calico cat, of all things. The kids enjoyed naming the creatures we encountered. Ananda remembers the names, I’m sure!
It was really lovely to have some time to talk to the kids. I gathered some feedback on what they enjoy vs. hate in gym and have a burst of inspiration for future classes.
