When I read this book I imaged that an Indian boy, Kajika, who became a friend of mine, was telling me legends and beautiful tales about his people.

The Indian tale tells us that one day the supreme God asked the birds to fly the highest they could. He told them that each one would received, once he stopped, the song that was ready for him.

The Hermit Thrush was able to fly the highest of all, receiving the most beautiful song and music. But for doing that, He cheated and he became ashamed. For this reason he started to hide in the branches and since then he has hiding, letting us to hear his melodious songs without be seen.
