Write a paragraph about your item. Some ideas of information to include are: Is it old or new? What species is it from or what is its classification? Why is it important? What is its role in nature?: | The item I found is a wild grapevine. It’s role in nature is to provide food for birds and other animals. I think it is a Riverbank Grape (Vitis riparia). The one I found doesn’t have any fruits or leaves because I found it in winter. |
What makes it interesting to you? Why did you choose this item?: | I chose it because when I first saw it I thought its tendrils were wires. They looked like old brown rusty wires that got wrapped around a branch and hung on to another tree. They were so strong hanging on to the tree that I couldn’t even separate the branch from the tree, so I was almost positive that those things were wires. |
