This week we read and talked about symmetry. They were all familiar with the concept and had interesting thoughts to share.
I had a really cool self portrait activity planned and then forgot the most important material at home! Darn! The Neutrons were quite understanding, of course, and we filled our time by making some symmetrical folds, drawings, and cuts of paper. August led the group in folding paper boats, and some stayed to make origami leaves as well.
Here’s the challenge: create a symmetrical work of art at home, then send a picture of your creation as a reply to this email. Possibilities are endless: a Lego structure, a plate of food, a Minecraft building…whatever you like!
