Today turned out to be wonderful but not at all what I planned 😀

We started off by reading Secrets of Winter by Carron Brown. It’s a super fun book where you use a flashlight to show animals in the winter. After some instructor fumbling, we got through the book. But, we all needed to move our bodies. I asked them to put on their scientist hats and find evidence of wildlife hunkering down for winter. Some informed me that it was actually to warm for a hat (haha!!), but went along with my game … minus the hat. We found lots of cool potential homes for animals and even some evidence of a beaver living nearby. No real wildlife but they indulged me with pretending to be various animals preparing for winter. They really are the cutest little group!!
