We had some fun yesterday with Pascal’s triangle and finding patterns. All of the kids seemed to catch on to the patterning and then predicting what would be in the empty boxes.

So then we messed with it and changed numbers along one side. The kids made some AMAZING observations and caught more than I expected!!!

Before I even suggested it—they started trying to create their own triangle and their ideas for what they wanted to do were so creative!!!!

Next week we will be playing games for every level of math—they get to choose and can change as desired.  From Tenzi and Blink (matching) to Adsumudi (multiple levels of math in one group) to Snakes (also a dice game with simple addition and making choices based on passive-aggressive probability concepts).
