Art: Monograms

This week in art, we talked about monograms and made some of our own.  We used only our first initials and decorated them.  The suggestion was to use overlapping, multi-colored paper strips for decorating.  Some of the kids liked that suggestion, others decided coloring was more fun. Ailyn decided a textured initial with bunched tissue paper pieces was the way to go, and it was beautiful!  They all turned out great and was another week of each artist’s personality shining through their choices.

Special thanks to Kristin, Ananda, Kyle and the other members of the “clean up crew” that helped sweep up all the little bits of paper from the floor and generally whipped that place back into shape super quickly so we could all leave before the snow got too bad. This group rocks!
