At the start of fifth grade, Maya‘s friends, Jada and MJ are put in a different class without her, and Maya has trouble making new friends. Until Maya finds a robot named Ralph at the back of Mr. Mac’s convenience store closet. |

Maya becomes close friends with Ralph and reconnects that friendship with MJ and Jada at the end of the year. |
