List all of the main characters in the book, and share a little bit of information about each character.: | The main characters are Kit, Hannah Tupper, and Prudence.Kit comes from Barbados and her grandfather dies so she goes to her Aunt’s house to live. Hannah Tupper lives by Blackbird Pond and is supposedly a witch because she is a Quaker but everybody else is Puritan. Actually, Hannah Tupper is very, very nice and she becomes Kit’s best friend. Prudence is a girl about 8 years old. She loves Kit because Kit helps her learn to read. Kit told Prudence she could come to Hannah Tupper’s house, so she did. Now they are all friends. |

Since Hannah was a witch Kit must also be a witch, thought the citizens |

Then Prudence’s father was amazed so he told everyone else that Kit must not be a witch because she taught his daughter to read. |

Write three (3) sentences describing why you gave this book this rating.: | I gave the book 4 stars because it was really exciting when the witch hunt was going to see Hannah Tupper. I didn’t give the book 5 stars because 60% of the book was about how Kit lived, and that part didn’t lure me in. |
