| Prince Winter is an icewing ( Icewings are one of the types of dragons who inhabit phyria. they have icy cold scales. they live in an icy tundra and have an ice breath they can use to freeze other dragons) who believes he has to save his brother alone becaus icewings are very haughty they believe they are the best type of dragon. winter is diferent though and wants them along but is also trying to be a good icewing. |

| Winter and his freinds manage to save hailstorm. One of Winters friends got hurt badly and they get her to a doctor. |

| At the end of the book Winter goes into ice caves with his brother into ice caves for the diamond trials the only way for an icewing to get back up the ranks if too low of a rank. both the highest ranking and the chalenger go into the ice tunnels. |
