The Neutrons, Electrons, and Muons used back-to-back partner work to practice passing a dodgeball side to side and over/under. Then we moved the passing into the full group circle, enjoying a game of cat and mouse with dodgeballs of two different sizes. We ended with a game of circle soccer, where everyone holds a squat as their goal and each player is on their own trying to score a goal on other players. Lots of laughs with this game.
We saved our tree-themed movement activities for another time for the Quarks. They were quite engaged in climbing a tree at the start of class, and asked if we could head into the forest in search of a favorite climbing spot. We got to skate and break ice on the trail, and found a small shelter with fallen trees near it to balance and climb on.
