We continued to learn more about shelter. Our focus was on what animals take shelter inside an oak tree. I read a poem featuring various animals which gave us ideas on how animals could take shelter in an oak tree. The quarks then colored these animals and placed them on a large paper bag oak tree. They were very creative drawing nests and many other animals not featured in the poem. We then spent some time playing animal charades acting out animal behaviors. There may have been an option for a sensory break with Floof which was a big hit. Thanks to Vicki and Chris for facilitating that side activity.
