What is its role in nature?:	My artifact is a small tree branch. The small tree branch has lichens on it. It is completely harmless to a tree and it is a symbiotic relationship between algae and fungi. Symbiotic means working together.
What makes it interesting to you? Why did you choose this item?:	It is interesting because the lichen looks beautiful and ugly at the same time. So I figured that I would take it to show at co-op because it is unique.
