Experiment Title: | Raw egg peeler |
What was the purpose of your experiment? Provide a brief description of what you were hoping to learn, discover, or study.: | I was hoping to learn what would happen to a raw egg if placed in vinegar. There’s a cool experiment like it in a book. |
What was your hypothesis?: | I thought nothing would happen except maybe extra bubbles. |
What materials did you use in your experiment? List them all.: | Raw egg, Small glass, Distilled white vinegar. |
What procedure was followed? Provide a brief description of the steps you followed during your experiment.: | I put the raw egg inside the glass with the vinegar. Then, I waited three days. It did get super foamy the first day. Then, on the second day, it started to get weird brown stuff coming from the top. I believe that if I let it in there longer, all the layers would eventually come off. I believe the brown stuff was the shell. |
What were the results of your experiment?: | Some brown liquid came out which was the shell. It only happened on the top though, where all the bubbles went to. |
What is your conclusion after conducting the experiment? Was your hypothesis correct or incorrect? What did you learn?: | It is possible if you let it stay for a while longer. My hypothesis was that nothing would happen and I was wrong. It was a really cool experiment and I learned that it is possible and it is just a matter of time. |
