This week we learned about spiders. We started with the book Weaving Wonders: Spiders in Your Backyard by Nancy Loewen. We explored some ways that spiders typically make webs with a shape matching game. Then each kiddo experienced life as a spider or spider prey on a “web” to feel the vibrations. We concluded with half of the group making a giant web out of yarn and the other half choosing to make smaller webs at the table with yarn and tape. I’m sure Olga has better photos but I had to share these adorable little arachnologists!
