We did a lesson on Tangrams. It was a great lesson on problem solving and creativity. With the 7 shapes used in tangram designs We broke off into groups and I had the students make a square. After 5 minutes I revealed on piece. It was a great team building activity. I think they only needed 3 hints before they were able to solve the puzzle. After that I challenged the students to make a puzzle for their classmates using tangram lime shapes. Their designs were unique and challenging. The rest of the class they spent working on their puzzles, and using the tangram templates I had to solve more complex puzzles.
