The main character is Slingshot. He is a great pitcher and works hard. He wants to do a forkball.

Slingshot wants to do a forkball, that is a really hard curveball. It could really hurt his arm and he doesn’t care. He keeps trying to do it, but it is messing with his pitching, also it keeps raining which is causing a lot of trouble.

If there was a problem presented in the book, write three (3) sentences about how the problem was solved. If there was not problem, write three sentences about what you would have liked to have seen in the book that the author did not include.:

Slingshot and his team go on a rafting trip and it rains really bad. Then they have to play their arch rivals. Slingshot all of a sudden realizes that he has to pitch the way he is suppose to.
