Art: Embroidery

Super happy to see all the kids tried this project!

We used needlepoint fabric, embroidery thread, and big needles to create designs.

I showed them 4 examples of the possible directions they could take their project. The first was fancy store bought flowers and the second was my attempt at a flower. The third option was book binding (sewing pages together) and the final example was a picture of a canvas that was recently in an art gallery where the person embroidered graffitti words.

I was pleasantly surprised how into the project each kid became especially considering how much patience it can take to thread a needle 😅

We had abstract designs, flowers, letters, and a soccer ball!
