Well, we certainly made the most of the dreary day! Today we were learning about ponds so (as Chris will share) we walked over to the pond across the street. As expected, it took quite a while for the little legs to trek all the way over there. So, my lesson consisted of exploring the the flooded pond and making observations. We discussed life cycles of different pond animals. We looked at images of frogs and turtles and different phases of life for each animal. The weather changed a bit and we decided to head back to the pavilion. Once back at the pavilion, we were able to sort various pond animals and place them in the order of each stage in the life cycle. As always, they impressed me with their prior knowledge and are just the cutest!
