| It takes place in a house called Villa Villekulla in Sweden. The house is situated on a street that is in a town. The house had been abandoned. |

| Pippi Longstocking has red hair. She is very strong: she can even lift a horse! She owns a little monkey, Mr. Nilson. She thinks there are ghosts in her attic; she’s very imaginative. |

| Her father was drowned on a ship voyage; she thinks he is now a cannibal king. Her mother died; Pippi thinks she is now an angel. The townspeople want her to go to an orphanage and a school, but she doesn’t want to. |

| The townspeople send two police officers to Villa Villekulla to take Pippi to an orphanage, but she scares them away. The townspeople agree she shouldn’t go to an orphanage. So she continues to live at Villa Villekulla! |

| I was happy and excited. She climbed down a hole in a hollow tree, which was exciting. What made me happy was when she shot off the pistols on her birthday! It was so mischievous. |

| I think my favorite part was when Pippi was going to the circus. She kept jumping on to the sets, like the tight rope and the horses. Pippi thought everything was a game. |

| Yes! I think you would have fun reading it and meeting the characters. Pippi has a lot of strength and is very smart; she’s a cool character. |
