Today, we walked down to the river. We discussed a variety of things, like how erosion caused the riverside to be steep on one side and how the river can sometimes get so high it floods the nearby road. We noticed beaver marks on some trees near the water and we speculated on what creatures might live in the burrows we saw dug out near the path. It was a long walk, but luckily the trees blocked most of the wind 🙂 So fun to spend outdoors time with these kiddos and hear all their cool knowledge and encourage them to slow down and search for cool stuff!
