Both Neutrons and Electrons started this co-op session with a two week unit on making observations and conclusions. Each group made a large list of observation words / adjectives and then made observations of each of 10 boxes. Then, given a list of items, they attempted to guess the contents of each box. Most of them seem to enjoy the mystery of this, at least until they found out they’d have to wait until the following week to find out the contents of each box!
Week two found us unveiling the contents of each box to see how we did with our guessing. Then we split into small groups for each group to create a mystery of their own by placing an item into a box for the rest of the group to guess. They were all pretty serious about this activity!
