We made paper airplanes today. I supplied several different paper types: construction, card stock, drawing paper and foil. The Electrons each chose a paper and we made some cool paper airplane models. Then we tested the models indoors and out, observing about how each paper type flew different, how the force you applied to your throw changed the outcome, how the wings functioned differently when the wings were curved up in the back versus flat. We attempted to throw the planes through the target I had prepared, but had some difficulty making the planes fly precisely enough for success.
