We started off discussing what we thought First Nations meant. Which lead to a brief discussion on whether they had grocery stores for food, or home depot for building supplies. To which they whole group emphatically decided that wanted to build a shelter. So, that’s what we did. They worked so well together as a team, gathering supplies, figuring out how to make a sturdy structure all while being kind friends. They even came up with a little campfire song. It wasn’t exactly what I had planned, but it was so fun to watch them work, I decide their idea was far superior to my plan!! What a fun afternoon taking advantage of our beautiful mid-November weather.
