Weekly Summary: Types of winter precipitation – Neutrons – Nature Study

We started off discussing what we knew about precipitation. Next we made an observation of what was currently happening with the winter weather. I showed them this video on the different types of winter precipitation.

We then ventured inside to complete a little project reinforcing the concepts and emphasizing how temps in the atmosphere change the types of precipitation that we see. They were very engaged and asked lots of great questions (and shared lots of cute stories) to help them to understand the concepts.
