The Muons started Language Arts with a group review of a few concepts – adjectives, syllables, and how to use a dictionary and thesaurus. Almost everyone got involved in explaining these concepts, so it really was a refresher for most. This led to a game where each person put a 3+ syllable adjective they’d use to describe themselves into a box, and then we guessed whose was whose. Some of our words included beautiful, talented, adventurous, meddlesome, introverted, and interested. These words were used again in our next activity, which was to decorate a cover sheet for the binders we’ll keep our work in throughout the year – each binder is decorated with describing words we feel are reflective of us. I will keep the binders and bring them to co-op each week.
